A Team Week Plus

It’s been a long time since we did a post that focused on the actual way we spend our time while at the response site in Florida. The first slideshow below gives some insight into the work we did with a team from Willow Springs church in Missouri.

We have a motto in Crisis Response, “People over projects” which means that we are more a ministry that cares for homeowners and team members than we are a ministry that focuses on rebuilding. We do rebuild, but our first priority is to help people learn about Jesus and grow in him. Nonetheless, I was tempted to call this slideshow “Projects Over People,” because most of the pictures show the team that worked in Patrucia’s home with more and more of the “project” completed over their heads.

The “plus” of this post is the visit of our granddaughters. We were blessed to have Ellie and Hope with us for the week. They spent a little time at the job sites and a lot of time helping Gail with the cooking.

It is the hard work of teams and staff that makes it possible to introduce people to Jesus and help them grow. Gail and I are extremely grateful for your support in this. As the busy summer and hurricane season rolls on, we would appreciate one-time or ongoing gifts that you can give, for they allow us to be here. If you would like to join our support team go to Bob and Gail DeGray’s Giving Page. Thanks

  1. Thanks for sharing some of the details of your labor of love for Christ and the people you serve. It helps to be specific in our prayers for your ministry.
