A Tribute to Boaz

Many of you will have already heard that we had to put our beloved dog Boaz to sleep the last week of July. Boaz was the best dog ever. He was with us during much of our ministry and pre-ministry with Crisis response and was much loved by both staff and teams in Lake Charles and Fort Myers. One of the comments we often heard was “I don’t want a dog, I want Boaz.”

We’re deeply grieving his loss, partially because it was surprising to us. Our previous Golden died at 14 years old. Boaz was only 9-1/2, and we had no expectation of losing him so soon. It turns out he had liver disease and ultimately liver failure. In the end he just stopped eating and drinking and we had to make the hard decision.

I put together a short video showing Boaz in all ages back to when he was a cute fuzzy puppy:

  1. So sad that Boaz passed away. The tribute brought me to tears. We loved him as did everyone. Praying for you as you grieve.
